We are delighted to be taking part in Agroforestry Open Weekend 2023
Our farm
Our farm was a mixed Arable, Sheep & Hay operation but is now Sheep, Hay and Walnuts. We retail all our nuts direct to the public along with grafted nut trees.
We have the only full Walnut Drying, Cracking & Shelling line in the UK and advise others on walnut growing.
Our agroforestry
Our orchards are Sylvopasture, the main orchard or 4.4Ha has trees nominally spaced at 10m x 10m, the newer one being planted winter 2022/23 is 2.15 Ha and is at 8m x 8m. We have drip irrigation for establishing the new trees which will remain for 8-10 years.
Trees are all guarded to allow sheep to graze, we make our own weld mesh guards and use machined posts.

Over Agroforestry Open Weekend 2023 we will be open for 2 booked tours on the Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st May.

There will be limited on-site parking but this could be on grass or hard standing
dogs
Please no dogs.
disability access
Access is mostly hard standing and then grass to site so is uneven and can be muddy, wheelchairs welcome with care.
