We are delighted to be taking part in The Agroforestry Open Weekend 2024
Our Farm
Our farm is 100 acres and includes 5 enterprises: market garden, farmhouse rentals, livestock (a herd of beef cows and a flock of pastured chickens), nut and fruit agroforestry and a tree nursery.
Our agroforestry
We started the initial planting in March 2022 but most got underway later that autumn. The current agroforestry consists of 3 fields: one is planted with walnuts and pears (with soft fruit in between) and the others are cobnut and plum and cobnut and something else (we haven’t decided what the something else is yet!).
The three fields are around 15 acres in total but are part of the overall strategy of the farm to develop diverse enterprises that complement one another. Our veg box and beef customers will also, in due course, be our fruit and nut customers.

agroforestry open weekend 2024
Over Agroforestry Open Weekend 2024 we will hold two 1-hour tours:
Sunday 19th May: 11:30 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 15:00
Our neighbour, Oakbrook Community Orchard, are also participating in the Open Weekend and will be holding a tour at 3pm so why not come along to both!

Attendance is free but please book so we know to expect you. Visit our Eventbrite page to reserve your place.
The farm will be holding a whole farm open day – 11am to 3pm on the 19th May – those attending for the Agroforestry Open Day would be welcome to join in – there will be free activities and crafts and food and drink available to purchase.
parking/access
There is ample parking which will be well signed.
dogs
Any dogs will need to be on leads please.
disability access
The car parking and central area is accessible by wheelchair. The agroforestry is a bit of a walk away over uneven terrain.
