Hearth Farm

We are delighted to be taking part in Agroforestry Open Weekend 2024
Our farm

Hearth is a new farm on ancient land, in the Sussex High Weald. A place where soil is nourished, and where habitats are created and protected. Embracing a nature led farming model, Hearth is growing and creating products that support both our body and our planet.

Our agroforestry

Our Agroforestry system is predominantly orchard based planting, based on Keyline Design and Syntropic Farming principles. The Keyline work was done in spring 2022 and planted the following season with support trees. This winter we’ve planted a plethora of fruit and nut trees in between the support trees that will provide woodland ecology, nutrients and windbreaks. We aim to do alley cropping in the years to come with heritage grains.
