Whitehall Farm

Whitehall Farm, Peterborough, Cambs

Stephen & Lynn Briggs are first generation tenant farmers at Whitehall farm. We planted 52ha (128acres) of ‘silvoarable’ agroforestry in 2009, combining apple trees and cereal crops making it the largest commercial agroforestry in the UK . The farm has been organic certified since 2007 and has areas managed for wildlife & biodiversity.

Stephen will be giving a short talk and a guided tour of the agroforestry fields at 10am and 2pm on both Sat 18 & Sun 19 May 2024.

Stephen has provided farm business advice for 25 years with https://abacusagri.com/ and he undertook a Nuffield global study of agroforestry in 2010 and assists government in the design of agricultural policy. He is a non-exec director of AHDB. So there is lots to discuss and experiences to share during your visit.

Also enjoy the Harvest Barn farm shop and café https://harvestbarn.co.uk/ managed by Lynn Briggs, with farm animals, great food and apple juice made from the agroforestry trees. You are welcome to book for breakfast, lunch or grab a snack. Please do book a table if you wish to eat, as we get busy at the weekend. Bookings: 07878 871295 or Email: info@harvestbarn.co.uk
