We are delighted to be taking part in Agroforestry Open Weekend 2024
Our farm

When Riverford founder, Guy Singh-Watson, began the process of handing the Riverford business over to its employees he, along with his wife, restaurant entrepreneur Geetie Singh-Watson, brought Baddaford Farm. On this 150-acre farm, nestled in a steep-sided valley, Guy still grows veg for Riverford. Many of the perennials grown are familiar to veg box customers; strawberries, artichokes, rhubarb etc. but in recent years a system of nut agroforestry has been introduced across the farm.

Our agroforestry

In 2021 Baddaford was planted up with 2,500 hazel and walnut trees as part of a new silvo-pasture system across 25 acres of steep, south-facing land.

Over Agroforestry Open Weekend 2023 we will be open Monday 20th for a guided walk 6-8pm

Basic facilities i.e. a loo and water, available

parking/access

Parking is limited, hence the limitation on numbers. Lift sharing, cycling and walking encouraged.

dogs

No dogs as vegetables growing in fields.

disability access

We’re very sorry but access to the agroforestry fields is extremely poor so people need to be able to navigate uneven, tussocky ground and traverse hillsides.
